Ive bought the truck originally to daily drive to work and back (Previous owner claimed 24mpg), and drive it while I have my 1979 toyota pickup tore down because its transforming into a rockcrawler ;),.

As you can see the dash is in horrible shape, anyone have any ideas of what I could do to make it look decent? I have to fix a ton of rust on the bottom of the doors/floorboards. I have to find the original headlight bezels as it looks like shit right now. Has a decent flatbed that I am going to cut down smaller so it doesnt stick out past the truck. Im a little confused about the rear end, the previous owner said that it was all stock but missing a few interior/exterior. Anyway the rear end appears to be a toyota 8" has isuzu brakes and it has a strange pinion flange that doesn't follow the Toyota axle.

When I got it (On January 3rd), The Wipers,Heater and carbuerator were in rough shape Ive managed to fix all of it except the carb its a weber and it seems they went out of business so i don't know if im going to be able to find the linkages. The PO Put a new battery, alternator and *FIXED* the wiring :(. All in all i think it was worth $270 :).

Welcome to the "need a LUV dash" club! We are waiting to see what ctmandu can come up with on a fiberglass cover. I personally know what you mean about 'fixing' the wire harness and recommend looking into it to be sure nothing is overloaded or close to max amperage. Also, sometimes when 'fixing' wires, circuits that need to be working for other items are bypassed causing problems with seemingly totaly unrelated stuff. That is what I am seeing with mine at the moment. The Weber carb can be identified by looking at it closely for a set of numbers such as 32/36. I don't know right off hand what they really are and there are many others here that can tell you right away what to look for, and just get on ebay for an overhaul kit. All in all, just keep looking in on this forum and you will get all of the information and support needed. You can't go wrong here!

parts sent to you and ill have pics of the other stuff for you later... not bad for $270... if by chance the stock carb is still around use the linkage off of it, it bolts right on the weber, if not i can send you one with the next parts order...

Just noticed that your clutch pedal looked like it was drifting lazily to the left... you might wanna check the clutch mount, because it likes to crack when the cable goes.
