I'm still waiting for ours. I paid for it on June 24th. Hopefully it will be here soon.

I'd like to know how long it takes to get a dash and if there are any problems. Let me know how it goes Mike.

I cleaned up all the trash in this thread since it was apparently a misunderstanding. Please carry on.

No, I am going to try and contact them about this. I was told I'd have it around the end of July. I forgot to ask what year in July? LOL.

Has anyone heard from verobrass or dashboard restorations lately??? Not trying to start anything but it seems funny that neither has posted here since members have sent them money for the dashes and it is long after the deadline that they said they would be ready?? :?:

Here is the e-mail I received yesterday:

Hi Mike,

I appologize for the length between updates. Jim Kirk, the owner of the dash manufacturing company, just got back to me this past week. He is trying to get the final finished product as close to perfect as possible. I'm waiting on a dash myself. My last response from him stated he was not satisfied with the materials. He changed materials and is making sure the new top layer will hold up much longer. I assure you as soon as I hear anything I will let you know immediately.

Thank you for your extended patience,

Joe Lorino

Jim Kirk, LOL! Captain Kirk rules. LOL!

He, anyway...

I figured it would take a while. Austrailian companies seem to have a habit of pushing out deadlines, claiming they are refining the product. From what I know of Austrailians, they are probably telling the truth. Everyone down there seems to take pride in their work, which usually means that they miss their deadline.

At any rate, please keep us posted of any future developments.

I'am thinking about installing a dash from another truck into my luv. I'am going to look at a nissan hardbody dash and see if I could make it work. Has anyone done this? I'am also going to look at some datsun car dashes. I've been think about this for some time, and I don't think it would be that difficult. Or I could fabricate a pad for the top, and paint the bottom to match the truck. Any help would greatly be appreciated. What ever I come up with I'll make sure to post pictures. Thanks, Darin :fadein:

I think I found a dash that I want to use. It came out of a 1988 bmw, I will post pictures after the big install. I wanted a 1971 datsun 240 dash, but they cost around $400.00 dollars or more. ( and that for a used one )
