Sorry for not reading through the whole post, but I have some questions.

1. How much including shipping to 67005?
2. Will a weber 32/36 mount up direct?
3. Do you need a deposit or full price up front.
4. Do I have to run a header as well to avoid problems. (I plan on getting one as the next upgrade)

Thanks in advance for you time

Gareth

Thanks for the inquiry. Currently I am out of the intakes, but I hope to order more sometime soon, maybe late Summer or early Autumn if there are enough people who are ready for one. Maybe even sooner if 5 or 6 more people become interested. Some of the details you are asking about are back just a few posts. If you could PM me with your e-mail address so I have it to contact you when the time comes, that would be helpful. Shipping will be USPS Parcel Post + insurance and will probably be $20 unless the rates change, but that would probably not happen until 2010 if they do go up again. The new price I don't have yet since I haven't actually placed the order yet, but a page back in the posts I mention what approx. it will be. I won't post it again because that is best left to PM since there has been controversy over prices being posted in the threads. When the time comes closer to me placing the order with Offy, I will certainly let everyone know. I don't need any deposit, but when I do have the manifolds in stock again and if you want one, payment will be required in full. I will give you the details when the time comes if you are interested in an intake. The Weber 32/36 will mount up directly to the intakes I will be ordering, and I believe some of the other Weber carbs as well. A little bag of bolts and and an adaptor plate came with the last run of manifolds and most likely will come with the next run I order. There are some pictures of all of this posted back about mid-way in the thread pages. As for needing a header to avoid problems, I don't think that would be an issue, but maybe someone here can confirm that since I don't know much on that. I haven't had mine installed on my truck yet, so I can't be sure, but my guess is it wouldn't be an issue. If you have more questions let me know in PM along with your e-mail address and I can give you more details then if you need them. The only thing that will be helpful to know at this time is if you do indeed want a manifold is if you want the 6204-CW or the 6203-DPW dual plane. This time around I will be able to split the run since the intakes are somewhat similar and the foundry is slow due to the economic slowdown. My guess is you don't have a 4x4 and you probably want the 6204, but it would be helpful to know for when I get ready to place the order. Hope this answers your questions.

Just wondering if there is anyone new interested in a manifold? I haven't had anyone ask me in 3 months, so this is the reason I haven't ordered yet. If I get about 5 more people interested I will place another order with Offy. I do understand with the slower economy that funds may be tight for some people. I just wanted to give this thread a bump and see if there is any other interest. All of you who have sent me messages, I have not forgot about you and I will keep everyone posted when I get some more details. Keep in mind for those interested, the last time I checked in with Offy they were going to be able to let me do a split run. So if anyone is interested in a dual plane intake, let me know.

Hey Moka, I was just browsing the thread for a explnation on how the intake improves power, and also is the gas mileasage about the same (providing you aren't hammering down on the gas). I haven't put my manifold on yet, I'm going to rebuild my motor first and then put it on.
Thanks!

Hope you found all the info you needed. Good luck with the rebuild! I haven't put mine on my truck yet either. I need to get going again on the polishing and get a Weber.

Well I recently have had some more interested people on the intakes and I will probably be placing the order with Offy soon. I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone else who may be interested or in the coming weeks. If anyone else is interested, let me know and if you want a dual plane or just the 6204 so I know how many dual plane I will be needing to order. I will be sending some PMs to people who already contacted me earlier this year to check with you on the type of intake and if you still want one. Keep an eye here on the thread for updates. I will be sure to post info once I place the order with Offy and approx. lead time. If anyone needs more info please let me know. Thanks.

I am currently out of stock, but will be ordering very soon. I actually just tried to call Offy today, but they must be closed for the holidays. I will try them again early next week. In the mean time I will probably be checking with the people who wanted intakes to make sure what one they wanted. The last time I talked to Offy they were going to let me do a split run so I will be ordering some of the dual plane intakes because they are similar to the #6204 and there are some 4x4 owners that would like a dual plane. If you are interested in an intake, send me a PM and let me know what one you are intersted in and I will give you more info then.

I talked to Offy relaly quick last week, they were closed for a couple weeks or more over the holidays and when I talked to him he had to leave and was really swamped since it was their first day back. He said he would call me back, well he hasn't yet, so I will probably be calling him back this week. Send me a PM and I will send you some more info. I won't be ordering any of the 4 barrel intakes for the Holley. There just isn't enough demand for those to have a whole run made. Even the Aussie guys haven't show much interest in those. The #6204-CW for the Weber is the common one and the last I talked to Offy about it they were going to let me split the run, so I will be ordering some of the #6203-DPW dual plane intakes for the Weber because some of the 4x4 owners want those. Let me know in the PM your e-mail address in case I need it and your choice of intake.

What's the difference between the dual plane and the other, performance? Why do 4x4's prefer the dual plane. thanks.

you should get the dual port 32/36 intake done. The one you have is for mid to high range. the dual port is from low all the way to high range. Its great for all those with 4x4. It has alot of torque to pull the tires with 4.11 gears.

This is a post on this same thread from a page or so back from about a year ago. Let me know if you are interested in an intake and what one you might want. There is a ton of info in this thread and if you go back to about page 7 or 8 there are a whole bunch of pictures and info sheet scans.

I have a 79 4x4. have owned it since new. I put the dual port, webber and headers on it 30 years ago. I didn't recall hearing about the other intake at the time. Just curious. Thanks again.

Cool. Waiting patiently. I going to use some of my tax return for some more upgrades I want to do, and this one of them. Thanx again.

Still waiting patiently for some replies to PMs sent out. I have only heard back from about half of the people who were interested in a manifold. If I don't hear back, then I might just hold off some more and wait until there are more people who want one. Updates will follow once I talk to Offy again. To answer Hondo's question, I am not sure either when Offy started making the #6204-CW. Probably 1976 and later based on the Offy sheet.

Yeah they are in California. It won't work that way though. They don't just stock them. I special order them in a full run and am now the distributor. After the foundry casts the run, then they go back to Offy to be machined. When Offy finishes them, the complete run gets shipped to me. About the only way to reduce the shipping some would be to not have the insurance included. If you want to take that chance, then it will be at your own risk. The intakes are pretty solid and I have not had any trouble yet. It would probably save about $4 to $5 without the insurance, but to me it is worth the while on an investment such as this. When the time comes, you can decide if you want it without insurance instead.

I'll go with the ins. Save my but on a multipal order from Summit when the over stuffed box arrived ripped open.
