So i thought i would start a thread on my truck that im gonna be putting together. I bought it a couple weeks ago, havnt really torn into it yet but I have been gathering parts and narrowed the rearend today for it. For the past couple years I have been racing a 73 vega....all stock suspension....8.5" tires....406 and it was my little sleeper...steel rallies and all. I was able to get it to run a best of 6.50@109 in the 1/8th and I decided it was time to put something a little more suitable together with a frame under it that I would be capable of running faster with. So far I have all the parts to put a new short block together...377, 6" rods, flattops, it has 190cc afr heads, .640 isky roller, 1050 dominator. I have a turbo 400 with a transbrake and a 4k stall. For the rearend I have a 4.11 trackloc that i hope will hold up for a little while. I pulled the motor out of my vega and sold it as a roller a couple weeks ago and am totally having withdrawls now from not being able to race anything so im gonna be trying to get this thing put together quick. I want to keep the sleeper look so it will have the steel rallies also on it and im hoping it will run somewhere around 6.60s on the motor. I keep pictures posted as i go along....... and oh yea the color and heart wheels that came with it are awesome.

Oh I will definently keep the wheels here. Thanks hot rod, you gonna keep that color while posting here now LOL. Thanks on the projects to, I think were gonna sign the willys up for the back flip contest haha. That thing is so light, with the whole front end assembled, cab on it and everything but with no motor I could grab the front crossmember and had no problem lifting it up + a 4500 stall and a transbrake it shoudl be fun to drive.

Well hey, sorry for the lack of updates...have had a lot of personal things going on in the last couple months and havnt even had a chance to think about the luv truck, things seem to be going back to smooth sailing though and I think I'm gonna roll the truck in the garage this weekend and fab up the motor stands and trans crossmember . But I did get all the machine work done to the motor and I just need to assemble it, trans is sitting on the garage floor and is ready to go also. We have managed to finish up a couple cars in the last couple months though in the spare time I have had so ill post some pictures later of them. As for the heart wheels, I have no idea what they are worth so ill look around some and see if I can figure it out but if anyone is dieing to have them pm me and well see if we can work something out.
