thanks! I posted this topic in drivetrains but maybe you could help,do you know of anyone who ever removed an automatic tranny from a luv and replaced it w/ a stock 4spd or a 5spd? Im a fair mechanic but short on exp. especially in the fabrication dept. thanks again!

has been done but i am not sure has as i have never done it. but it should be easy with the 78/80 cable clutch setup

yeah the whole, hydraulic clutch thing had me wondering what I could be getting myself into.anyway im supposed to haul it home from portland on sat.wish me luck ! ps. is a automatic luv as gutless as I think its gonna be?

didnt know it was an auto til a friend checked it out for me.not much love for luvs with friends ive talked to by the way.too late for me as this will be my 3rd.first one im wanting to fix up/restore/hot rod though,this site is great.got me hooked!
