Hey has anybody else had a problem with high idle due to ethanol in the gasoline. I have a Weber that is about a year old. Lately it idles about 200 rpms too high. I have the idle adjust screw backed all the way off. I am sure the float is sticking. I was told by a friend that ethanol gels up in the carb and causes havoc. Is this true? I've used Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer in 4 tanks of fuel so far. Any suggestions?

Ethanol sucks... It eats thru cork gaskets. It eats thru rubber gaskets. It eats thru glass. It eats thru fuel lines.

I haul gas for a living. The day I started putting ethanol in the gasoline I haul, everything on my trailer started leaking. I'm talking about a 6 month old $80,000 gas tanker trailer. All my site glasses cracked, the pump on my truck started leaking, and all my hoses started cracking.

Hopefully the government will wise up and stop requiring this crap to be added to our gasoline.

Thanks for the tip. Ordered the gasket set yesterday. If anyone else needs the gasket set it is Weber part #99005.333. It is not the whole adapter, just the 3 gaskets. $12.95.

The Right Stuff is in my opinion some of the best sealant made, it's pricey but well worh it.
