Hey guys, I dont have a grill on my 4x4 Luv. I'm trying to find a replacment, however I'm wondering if any of you have used an aftermarket grill or something else to protect the radiator.
I want to take mine out wheeling this winter, and dont want debris hitting my radiator.

Well, if your not going for looks, you could zip tie in some expanded metal or just some steel screen that is used for house windows.

I've gone that route and it works great, just be sure to tie it away from the rad not up againest it. I found out the hard way about that. A mud/rock clod fell from my buddies truck and BLAM right in to the rad. one other idea is to use the metal window screen with it attached to a refrigerator shelve grill, or something with a little back bone for support.

If I did go the route of one of those middle screens, I want it very secure.
I may get a stock grill, and I'm also planning on a push bumper (a.k.a. brush guard) and then eventually put a wench on the front of that.

That is my favorite typo of all time in newspaper adds. Nothing adds value to a truck like having an 8000 lb wench come with it. :)

Sorry to pick on you Zane, we're laughing with you really.

I'd go with the expanded metal screen and maybe even back it up with something. The rocks/sticks I'm used to running into 4 wheeling would go right through window screen.

the person who said expanded metal is a godo person, except for teh zip-tie idea,
here is what i did, i made a little frame out of 1" angle iron, it wasn't perfectly flat either, it had a bend in the very middle, made it look WAY better,
then you cut out expanded metal and weld it on there, drill the moles for the mounts, paint it BAM it looks amazing.
Deffinitally a godo way to go, other than that, you can go to junkyards and find a luv with a grill.
