i was just wondering? i currently have 4 luvz and want to tag and insure all of them as i get them running. I currently have state farm and they want 197 every six months which i think isn't that much for one. But 4 thats 800 every 6 which is 133 a month.. i've been talking with my agent and he says i can do classic ins for like maybe 20 every 6 per luv sounds great but haven't got all the details and if i have i don't understand them i do know i'm only allowed 1000 miles a year on each truck plus i have my daily driver car for now so mileage wouldn't be a big deal

Just insured mine thru hagerty with full coverage valuing it at $15000.00 for replacement cost. Have roadside assistance, rental, hotel and no deductible for $301.00 a year.

jeffulmer, is your truck going to be a show only, not daily driven as well,i just got on hagerty's site, and daily drivers are not covered by them. if there is a loophole i would like to know about it or i'm either going to be doing stupid stuff to keep them or really stupid stuff like finding a favorite or two and selling the rest.. dang if i could just win the lottery..lol

Listed as an occansional driver not a daily driver. I own and operate a towing company so most of my time is in a tow truck. I have a Bike I finished building in December and have 225 miles on it and a jeep that I have had about four years that i have only put 200 miles on.

The best suggestion I can offer you guys is to document every penny you have invested in restoring/customizing your truck, then take pictures and/or video of your truck and insure it as a classic/collectable vehicle. You never want to find your self in a situation where your truck gets stolen or totalled and you just get paid "blue book" value for an approximately 30 year old truck that you have a ton of time and money for custom parts into.

I personally have listed every custom part I have installed in mine plus all of the labor hours I've invested - and I have taken extensive pictures and video of mine that is on file with my insurance agent. It costs me a bit more than my other vehicles do - but IMHO from past experience - it's a good investment.

My wife is a State Farm agent, we insure our LUV's for STATED VALUE. I can drive it all I want, it has a million in liability, 0 dollar deductable on un insured/comp coverage, 100K medical, 15K value and we pay $325.00 per year.
