If the 410 is a bored out small block 400, stay away from it. the 400 sbc has married cyl. walls and tend to warp. IMO Your better off with a bored out sbc 327, 350, or whatever. Just not the 400.

Which do you have the most parts for on hand? Aftermarket block or no? What head choice? I personally have had pretty good luck out of the factory 400 blocks, but that's just me...

I am running a 400 as well. I have no probplem with the cooling but I do need a larger elec fan. There are certain things that should be done to relieve the coolant flow, like a certain head gasket and a certain hole size in the head.

True. My experience with that block is in stock pick up trucks pulling ski boats and stuff. Built and in a LUV is probably a different story.

well i was thinking some pro topeline heads with just a stock redone 400 but throw a bad dude 350 crank in her to give it a nice torquey 377... or icould just bore a 400 out a bit but put the same heads on... i was thinkin of just runnin motor for now and when i get her nice and hooked up then drop a blower or twin turbo it... nice
