typically I can just use two wrenches... putting the wrenches close together so they wont loosen much the first time, and all you have to do is squeeze one hand.

NM... too hard to describe....lol

You can also use line-wrenches. Kinda like the box-end wrench with a slot cut in it.

Soak it in some PB blaster.

Cuss at it, ask it nicely, shake your fist at it... ummmm
Go get dad. On second thought, might not be a good idea. Go get mom.

You WILL need a line wrench so you don't round out (anymore) of the hex.

o.k., not trying to be an ass...just frustrated.

but i know its 2 wrenches..... I dont live at home....

So, i got the wrenches and i got them to brake loose, but only one turns, the hose end....
when i try to loosen them the hose just twists up in a knot before its all the way off. Irritating.

So mabey i should have worded my question better, but now that i've explained it, anyone have a better suggestion? I'm half tempted to just cut them in half, remove them and go buy another set. But I thought i would ask before i waste money.

Gary

The fitting on the hard line side should spin. Spray in something like WD-40 or PB-Blaster and try holding the hardline and get the fitting to break loose and spin.

its doing that but it seems to bind up before it comes off, should i just keep letting it bind? is that normal?

I hate doing this, but it is so easy, what about a small pair of vice-grips on one end and a wrench on another?

If it is binding up, then try working it loose-tight, loose-tight, the binding should get easier, however this is usually indicative of a stripped thread.

If they are a pain in the ass now, they will be just as bad later.
IMHO,unless you are on a limited budget I'd cut em and get new ones.

they are not stripped.....

the hose is binding when i turn it to loosen. It binds around its self.

NM, I'll just cut them. Hopefully its not a hard part to find.

IC. You can still put the vice-grips on the crimp-seal behind the hex. Be careful not to crush it, though. If your truck is your only mode of transportation, I would not cut them unless Autozone is right down the street.
