How much does a new windshield go for? Is it possible to find one at a local glass shop?

I probably got screwed but I just paid $340 to have a new windshield put in mine. They quoted me $260, but when I showed up to have it installed they said I needed a new rubber (go figure it was only 30 years old). What pissed me off was the fact that they new how old the truck was and should have warned me about the additional $80 for a new rubber. But hey I got this cool blue stripe across the top now.

Had one installed on my '79 including the rubber seal for $240. They even pressure tested the cab for me after I put new door seals in. The windshield and seal should be available at pretty much any glass shop.

A word of warning, the bottom corners where the seal attaches to the body are often rusty. This can complicate things, and some glass shops won't put a new one in until you have the truck taken to a body shop and the lip repaired....
