im thinking about putting leafsprings or 4link coilover on a 4wd luv. i want to use as much luv parts as i can. i hope to get that done this summer and maybee next summer put a small v8 in the luv. leaf springs would probably be easier than 4link and cheaper but i would like to keep it as my daily driver any ideas?

how hard will the toyota springs be to make fit the luv frame. are the springs too wide for the luv frame or will they match pretty well

four links are very difficult/expensive to set up correctly. I have at least $3500 tied into the 4-links/coilovers on this pig

First time around you would be better off starting with toyota axles like all ready stated. I would use toyota rear springs in the front and 63"long chevy springs in the rear. Obviously you are going to have to make all your own mounts but it should be pretty straight forward

You could probably get away without power steering. The yota/chevy combo gives you a few inches of lift, are commonly available, and flexy 8) . Plus the yota springs have an offset center pin to move the front axle forward which moves your tires away from the firewall
