I had my engine reman. by a company (http://www.powerpro2000). I worked out cheaper. The cost was $1775.00. That included shipping both ways. 5 year warranty. The only parts reused are the block, head, crank and rods. Everything else is replaced. They even test run the engine. They provided as test report giving oil pressure, hot and cold, exhaust gas temps and even noise levels of the operating engine. I know it sounds a little expensive, but once you check the prices of machine work and parts, it really is a deal. Plus you get a warranty. Can't get THAT doing it yourself. The service was fast too.

Hey, I just checked. The price went up to $1855.00. Look under Isuzu Longblock. Engine code 103. This is the G180 engine. Even with this slightly higher price it still is a deal. They have good customer service. All I had to do was strap my long block on a pallet and call for the pickup. A freight truck arrived and took it away. It was back in less that 2 weeks. I recieved a phone call afew days later, explaining my cylinder head was not rebuildable. This would delay they job while they found one. They replaced it and didn't even charge me extra for it. One thing to remember. If it screws into the block please remove it (plugs, oil gally plugs, mounting bolts, valve cover, oil pan, etc.... I forgot to remove the air injection hole plugs. They didn't come back. So dodn't forget.
