I was gunna say "doesnt the zetec only come in FWD form?" but you answered that question, that was the motor I wanted for whatever I may do to my truck but was detoured by only being available in FWD, but now Ill have to look into it some more.
and rake it all you want, its yours just make sure you can see out the windshield without being hunched over like a gorilla.

The GM Quad 4 is another engine that can be converted to RWD and the later ones were 200 HP in stock form and they can be modified or supercharged/turbo charged to well over 400 HP.

The first picture is called a angle chop. It is mostly done because it is easer chop to do. I regular chop requires metal being added to the roof. This can be done with flat metal you form to the correct patch. I think the easier way it to have another donor cab for the metal you need.

You can not have a back glass cut!!! All other glass can be cut. 99.9% agree on the glass, but no one can prove they have cut a rear window. I don't think a angle chop looks good on it.

My VW Squareback (station wagon) has a angle chop on it. I like it.
It is a copy of a car done by Dick Deans son. It was in Hot VW magazine(not mine) It is called "Kid Dean"

I traced down the original one down. It belongs to the man who started the first Surf(board) shop in Houston. He is a nice guy. I talked to him on the phone. I emailed Dick Dean and we exchanged several emails and a few with his son Richard. All of them seemed like nice guys.

Don't know who Dick Dean is, just check on the internet. He is easy do find. Dick and his son were both nice in their emails. I am sure they get more emails than I would want.

Richard

I know this is an old thread and all, but why don't you just gat a 3.8sc? Comes out of the Grand Prix GTP, so its by no means hard to find, bolts up to many Pontiac trannys (easy to find), is supercharged stock so hella power, easy to mod, and still gets decent gas mileage (mid-20's city; high-20's highway).

its not about the power or mpg, it about the look... I always wanted a twin cam duel carb look like from the 70's but the Toyota rwd twin cam motors are very hard to find and the Isuzu twin cam is like hens teeth in the usa.... so I want to go with the zetec( easy to get ,loads of performance parts and cheap) add the twin tbi and I will have a good reliable twin cam with old style looks... my wifes truck will be a 350 5spd one so that will have all the power

Any glass shop can cut the back glass,it's flat, and WAY easier to cut than the front is.

Sorry but I should have said rear and side window glass :? Laminated glass can be cut. Tempered glass can not be cut. :esurprised I have heard that $$$ can have flat glass can be tempered after shaping. I'm sure there are people that have enough money they can afford to have one off templates made and glass cut to fit and then Tempered, but that is very expensive, unless your name is Chip Foose. 8)

I would go with the t-tops. I'm not into chop tops. Maybe it is because I am tall and would hit my head over every bump!!!
