I know where there is a '73 Luv that is sitting in a barn. Has been there since the early '80s. The engine is out of it and torn down. Back then he had some machine work done to the engine but would probably need something done again. The guy started to work on it then not quit in the middle of the project. Like a lot a projects he does. I think most of the engine parts he still has. The body is in very good shape with only 2 spots of rust starting. One spot is on the left side of the box and the other spot on the right side inner fender well. The truck has been repainted but not a very good job.
Anybody have an idea what this truck is worth?

IMO worth is what you are willing to give just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I myself wouldnt give over 450 if it can be brought back to life fairly easy. Depends on if you are going to do all the work yourself which I assume you are.
Whatcha wanting to do with it.

It would take quite a bit of work but I could do most of the work myself except the body and paint work. I forgot to mention before that mice have been in the cab. You can see the foam from the seat on the floor board. So who knows about the wiring?? A year ago when I talked to him I could have gotten for $300. It probably be a good SBC project. If I had the time and MONEY I would probably consider it. It would be a shame but it could also be a good parts truck.

If the body is not rusted through and the floors are solid and bed good I would give 150. would be a good daily driver project for my 307 and 700R4.Heck mabe make it into a flat bed
Too much other stuff for me to start on though. Still taking a break from mine.

If he wanted $150 or less I would be more incline on getting it. I think $300 is a bit much considering I bought a complete non running '74 Luv that the floor had been patched and the body was getting some rust for $16.50 at an auction a couple years ago. I resold but now I wished I had kept it.

If you can latch onto it for 150 I would grab it and keep it, Don't think you would get hurt at all. I wished I had the front valance off an older one.

I was thinking about buying it but don't have the time, money, or a place to store it. Plus I already have enough projects going. I have some pictures of the truck I took a year ago Christmas. If you want to PM me your email address I can send them to you. If it was last summer I could have hauled it out there to you as we took a family vacation to Ohio. The truck is located in Iowa.
