first the problem,i'm using a set of 461 double humps, and i keep running into problems with these heads, i have harland sharp roller rockers and they rub on the casting for the rocker studs so i tried a cheap fix i got stock replacement roller tips, solved that problem now i'm getting coil bind on the valve springs, i was told i need atleast 80 thousandths between coils when cam is at full lift and i only have about 26,so should i have the 461s machined to work or should i just buy a set of heads ? i know i should probably buy heads but it helps to hear someone elses opinion. now what kind of heads should i buy? the 461s are 64 cc which makes my motor about 13:1 i don't mind buying race fuel and it is ready available but should i go to bigger cc,what size intake runners should i get what about valve size my cam is 545/565 solid lift what are the +s and -s to larger cc heads any help would be great :smt021

What is the rest of the combo? Pm me if you don't want everyone to know. It's hard to recommend something without knowing the specs.

If you need to get the spring pockets machined and the stud bosses you might be better with a new set of heads. like the world products sportsmans. they are a preety decent head have accessory bolt holes. I think you can get them in 64 or 76 cc chambers. there are several good iron and alluminum heads out there now.
