Make replace it with one in the same condition. I think they can be forced to do that if it was the other guys fault. Don't give in just because thats all they want to do.... Tell them they can buy you one off of eBay!!!

I'm probably going to pull the few good pieces (discs, interior, dash) out of the '78 for the '75 project and junk/part the rest. That would mean I might be interested in splitting this with you, I'll need a driver 'til the V8's done...

I noticed that one on Craig's list as well. There is actually one up here within 20 miles of me as well. I called the claims department yesterday to find out what the hold up was. They said they misplaced the claim and apoligized and are sending an agent out next week. We'll see.... I will hold my ground on the value of this truck. After all I just did the interior, rebuilt and aligned front end, and has a reliable rebuilt engine. What can I say, its been reliable transportation for me for years. Its 4 wheel drive, has a/c, and gets between27 and 30 mpg! They'll here all this when they are trying to determine their so called "value".... Thanks for all the info from everyone. Will update as I find out more...

Well after all the waiting and wondering, I finally received a check for 2600.00 bucks from insurance company. And that was after they kept 150.00 for me buying back the so called salvage. Other than the time delay, I'm happy with the amount. It will be a while before I can fix her, but she still drives like new!
