This is my buddy's car. We have very little to do in the way of body work. We already dumped the stock solex carb and fabbed in fuel injection off of a 75 opel cadet. That was interesting. This car is a 70 Opel GT with 52,000 miles. It is a neat little car.

The headlights dont flip up, they roll over. Back in Homestead, FL I had a neighbor that "stuffed" a SBC 327 into an Opel GT. Talk about a bat out of hell! I took one and only one ride in that car. I only get in a car once that makes me soil my boxers. Sweet looking Grimace, good luck on the project.

Thanks. Yeah the lights roll over via a cable and lever in the center console. That is how the light switch works also. When the lights are rolled to the full open position, they make a switch that turns on the lights. When pulled back to close, the switch is opened and the lights go out.

This one won't need a v-8 when we are done. It has a 1.9 and we are putting a 2.0 head on it, a cold air supercharger, and a smidge of nitrous. He is also getting a set of 14 inch wheels off of a bmw. It has 13's right now. The 14's will allow for the big brake kit with disks at all 4 corners.
