i think it is something you may have over looked, im posative it has to be something in the bushings or oin the pedal, try removing it and replacing any bolts or parts that may be worn... thats all i can think of... its just REALLY odd....

Yeah...if it ain't the u-joints, then it could be a bad bearing in the tranny. Most likely it's a u-joint though...most stock Luv tranny bearings are pretty tough.

Usually it's a synchro that will start acting up first - mostly second gear because it gets the most wear-n-tear from daily driving.

(Especially if you drive like I do... :D )

How is the trans mount? How about the rear trans output shaft bushing? If you can grab the drive line and shake it up and down in the trans the bushing/bearing could be bad.

If I had to place a bet on this I would go with a drive shaft out of balance.

Who cares if it shakes. As long as it's clean, you look good getting there.

maybe the input on the rear end too...but I would think that you would have noticed the input and output on the trans and rear diff

If its only vibrating at a certian speed I think Luvrv8 might be right. As long as its related to your mph and not your engine rpms or what gear your in.

I've never seen this in a standard trany but I've seen it in a automatic trany. It would shimmy and vibrate when goin up a hill or and time the trany had a load on it.Caused from pullin trailers without turnin the overdrive off. Have you pulled anything with your truck in 4th that would lug the tranny. I would think that if you did it would hurt your clutch before the tranny but I don't no that.

Could it be pinion angle? If the u-joints are slightly out of phase it will cause a light shimmy that might only show up at certain driveline RPMs. Do those gear/engine rpm spot it happens correspond to the same MPH? If you are lowered a bit in the rear it could be that the pinion angle changed just enough to cause a bit of wobble.

my truck does the same if im doing over 65 and it gets realy loud so i think it just gets scared of the road and shakes haha dont worry if its shaking after 65 it seems like they all do a little vib but if ur vibration is kicking in b4 65 then u might wanna check the u-joints

800XL not any lower then it has been for the last 3 years, i think it might be my suspension it seams to be getting sloppy ( more play then normal) but again cant see anything that would cause it...

Alittle off topic but it is very important to put in wedge shims on the rear end if it is lowered. It will keep the pinion angle correct.
