Nice,

Was looking through a local salvage yard the other day, found a wreked Lexus with nice leather buckets. Owner left before I could ask a price.

Also some nice black and red ones from a Neon. Will see if I can score a pair Monday.

They all look nice. After a hundred miles, your cheeks and back won't care how purty they are or how little they cost. Pick the most comfortable for you.

I have Nissan Sentra buckets in mine. They fit good, and are comfortable.

I went with seats from a '91 Nissan Pathfinder, they are pretty comfortable, matched the rest of my interior well, and were pretty easy to install, once I grabbed my big long-handled sledge hammer and flattened down the lumpy floor in my Luv's cab...lol.

I'm trying to sell some stuff to fund a set for my RX-7.

Pretty comfy/sporty seat... And free of course since they're in my 7 now. :)

The biggest hurdle with bucket seats is finding one that will set you far enough from the steering wheel and still let the seat back sit at the proper angle. I tried a set of Ricarro seats that had been custom built for a ford vehicle and then installed into a Yukon. I built custom brackets but could not get enough leg room with the back at the proper driving angle.
The thinner the seat is the better.

/\ This is true.

I put in a s-10 cloth bench seat and if it wasnt for my 150 lbs 5-7 frame, I dont think I could get in comfortably.

My 4X4 had a bench from I think a 60's Nova or something like that.
With the body lift also, I couldn't get my legs between the seat and wheel to get in.
So, it's out and for now I threw in a Peterbilt high back seat. It's not bolted down, but it fits nice and I'm thinkin'....

I have a Grant Steering whell on my Luv. I think there is a fair amount of people on here that use those. I think that decreased form the stock steering wheel diameter by an inch. I also remember earlier that the most important isuse is how comfortable the seat is to you. I would like to sit in a porsche seat and see how that is. I also want to check out a prelude too.

I just put a split bench/bucket front seat from a Dodge Dynasty in my 79 LUV. It's a little cozy for my 5'8" frame, but it's a lot better than the original rotted foam, broken wire bench that was there. My 5'2" wife thinks they're great. We just did a 300 mile round trip to Denver over the weekend. Besides, the salvage yard I got them from hasn't figured out he can actually get money for seats. He let me just have them, and will give me a better fit seat when he gets one. Not a lot to pick from at this point.

I agree with PapaG...Recaro seats from a VW GTI do look good..I have seen it done. Then again, the VW crowd wants a mint for those seats...especially if they do not need to be refinished. Good luck with your search!
