I have amassed a number of parts for the fuel management system in the 350 ci Luv but have a few questions for those of you that have a knowledge of this stuff.

1. Typically what size fuel line would you recommend? 3/8ths or 1/2? What came stock on my Luv? I have to go from the stock fuel tank to my 1st fuel filter which will be run of the mill fuel hose.

2. I am confused as to some performance parts inlets and outlets having standard measurement sizes yet I am suposto find braided hose couplings and adapters to fit them when all I see if these AN measurements. Do these come in standard measurements also?

In the picture below you se3e the sized outlets & inlets to the performance parts. I obviously have to get 3/8th to ? AN sizes adapters. Unsure what exact size. I dont want to use push on fittings except from the gas tank to my 1st fuel filter on the inlet. Then on out It's all AN fittings until it goes into the carb. For some reason my Edelbrock #1407's inlet is just a stupid push on fitting rather than a screw on. I cant get around this?

Thanks for help in advance.

Oh yea this was really fun when I did it too. :D If my memory serves me correct -4 an would be 1/4 in, -6 is 3/8 in, and -8 would be 1/2 in. There are ALL types of adapters out there and they can get really expensive I would use whatever size you have on your filter and pump probably -6 (3/8 ) and used braded line all the way. As for your carb does that fitting not unscrew? If so there will be an adapter that will be -6 male out to connect your fuel line to.

Hope i got my sizes right if not I just really confused you!! 8O

-03 AN is equal to 3/16 in.
-04 AN is equal to 1/4 in.
-05 AN is equal to 5/16 in.
-06 AN is equal to 3/8 in.
-08 AN is equal to 1/2 in.
-10 AN is equal to 5/8 in.
-12 AN is equal to 3/4 in.
-14 AN is equal to 7/8 in.
-16 AN is equal to 1 in.
-20 AN is equal to 1 1/4 in.
-24 AN is equal to 1 1/2 in.
-32 AN is equal to 2 in.

You should be good with -6AN. Be ready for the sticker shock though.

You have to use an adapter to go from standard thread to AN threads. You can't just screw AN threads into standard threads. Sure they'll screw in but they're gonna be way too lose. Just my .02

3/8" line and/or -6AN should be fine.

The AN fittings are 1/16ths of an inch.
So, -6AN is 6 x 1/16" = 6/16" = 3/8"

I'm running 8an off the cell which reduces to 3/8 at the pump. Then the filter is connected to the pump with a 3/8 male fitting and goes out the filter with a 3/8 to 6an adapter. 3/8 Line from there to the fuel regulater then into the double pumper 8)

Thank you everyone fr your help. Went to the local speed shop (Lopers in Mesa, AZ) and had to sit down a while and catch my breath when I added up all the parts I needed to do the 5 braided line segments + the 6 adapters.

 You were warned but the problem is there is no cheap solution. I ran alum. line on my truck but it means more (choke) fittings.
