well i ordered a cam from delta every thing was cool..... so i took the valve trian apart rocker arm assem. still attached put it the new cam started the engine the truck was rolling like a small block but the valves where still tapping so i called delta and i told them about the rocker arm ran out of ajustment they told me to reverse jam nut which i did so i had to take it apart again but this time i did not take apart the timing sprocket or fuel pump, now when i start it it runs like sh** . i checked valves to make sure the rocker arms where not to tight. all i did was change the jam nut was around . could of i bent valves if the rock arms where to tight. does any one known what could of happen? when i start this now i seem like the timing off or some thing and i checked compression it was 145 all around. has any one gone threw this before?

Maybe you should have adjusted the valves to match the new camshaft?

i did int [.006] exh[.008]

What grind cam is it?

int dur 255.2 exh 253.2 stock # 790-292

the cam delta sent me the dur was to high for engine so thats y the truck would not run scott from delta told me to put my foot in it at 3000 rpm the truck started to run right dur to high.

So is it a 260 grind 270 grind or a 280 grind? I was recommended the 270 grind for my application.

yes thats right well i'm still trying to get the lash out well right now its ex[.010] and int [.010] when i took all the lash out before it did not want to run but i'm waiting on a new to come by ups. [/b]
