Not laughing at you.

That crossmember is missing on my truck. We cut it out, first thing, when we put the V8 in. We decided it wasn't V8 friendly. :)

That's where it is!!! I'm glad you found it, and glad you posted the pics!!!

This is for all you smarties out there who want to swap VIN plates and fool the CA VIN inspectors into thinking you have a non-catalyst vehicle. You could get charged with a crime, so don't try it.

Honesty is the best policy, and it will always stand against adversity. Of course, if you want to completely remodel your vehicle and cut out the frame cross member for a V8, that's your choice and your budget. Then remember the VIN under the cowl. I wouldn't be surprised to find out there's other locations too.
