We've got a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Extra Cab. There's the stock carpeting, but we use the truck for work outside and track in a lot of mud.
On my Luv I put in a full cover vinyl mat, that covers the entire floor.
I looked on JC Whitney and they sell 2 seprate mats that cover the whole width but you use one up front and one in front of the rear.

The sperate mats are nice to be able to take in and out, but I also like the idea of covering the full floor.

My Ford has full carpet and I use individual floor mats. I put a piece of grey office type carpet over the hump in the middle and it works well. I can pull it all out to clean and put it all back in to protect the original carpet.

I'm going to check to see if the front mats that are suppose to be custome will fit with the 4wd shifter on our dodge. Then go from there.

Ok, so on JC whitney,

They have a RUBBER mat that is full width, but its just the front.
The rear is just 2 sepretae average size mats. I'm also thinking if I do a full floor, I could just use the shop vac and vacum dirt/mud out.
