Good day, I have been thinking about buying a 73 luv. The guy wants about$300. I believe that it will need at least one fender maybe both.

I did see awhile back an add in a mag that sold fenders and bumpers and hoods any help to see if this is a wise ne for me. also does not run but I want to do a complete rebuild and either a v6 or 8. I had a luv new in 80 til87 and the only rust I had was on the driver side of the box near the gas cap and the frame rotted their also, is that common.
Well i will keep the search going.

Well that is a good price, however you could spend probably another bill or two and get one that does run. I got mine for $300, drove it home, perfect condition, no rust. But if this is going to be a project truck for you, such as the swap you mentioned then I guess running or not doesn't matter to you. If you can't find body parts online, there are plenty of people on here that can and will find them for you.

I dunno they're getting rare these . I'd pay 300 for a roller but i guess it depends on your geographic location too. Here in So Cal you could probably get grand for a rust free straight roller. I remember the days when people used to try to give them to me and I used to say no.

I paid $2000 for mine complete running and registered with a small block and th-350. I think I paid too much for it but I bought it because it was allready set up with a V8 and I figured the money was worth paying to save a head ache on the engine and tranny swap. The body was pretty strait other the front left fender had some rust.

I think you can get fiberglass fenders through LUVRESTORATION.com. I picked up a fender a few months ago from a wrecking yard for $25.
