I cant find my old luv manual and i'd like to find out how to install the headliner. Specificly the windsheild and back glass gaskets. I'd like to install the gasket and a new headliner at the same time. My headliner is still in one piece but it's water stained and very dried out to the touch. You could probably poke a hole in it with your finger. Are there specific tools to use to get it fitted in to the gaskets? I'd like to get an idea of what to do before i jump in to it. Thanks...John

Well since you are replacing the gaskets, it is a lot easier to do the headliner. I did mine with the glass out. I had the shop that did my seats and door panels kind of make one for me. They sewed up the material for the curves and left lots of extra material around the edges. I glued the headliner around the edges of the cab and used the trim around the doors to hold it in place until it dried (see pic), then cut the excess off and had the glass shop carefully put the windshield in. I did the back window as they are pretty easy to get in and out, I used 2 screwdrivers but you can also use the string around the gasket trick also.

Not anymore sorry!! I got mine from my brother at the Chevy dealership he works at and that was around 90-91 when I redid my interior. Actually since then it has started cracking on one of the lower corners so I will be needing a new one also. :x
