i'm just wondering which one looks the best? 2"or 3" body lift... sometimes you see a 4x4 with a body lift & you see too much frame... that looks crappy to me. what do you think?

my 2 cents a 2" looks better. it will probably be less of a hassle to.you gotta take into consideration your moving the body away from the frame and engine. you might run into problems with some wires being long enough, getting your e-brake cable to adjust out far enuf if it still works something to think about.mine had a 2" on it when i got it.everything seems to fit good.

Hey guys,
2" definitly. It looks almost impercieveable other than you can tell the truck has been lifted (Which is the point right?) With a 3" it looks unnatural, I believe you have to extend the steering shaft and all the lines, hoses and wires if you go higher that 2"

I don't know about the 4wd models, but I had an 88 Nissan Hardbody that had torsion bars on the front. Looked just like a LUV up front.

My 2 pennies, I would say if you have to body lift, go 2 like everone else said. As for Nissans, I am not sure what type of front setup they had but my buddys Nissan he had back in the early 90's was converted to leaf, here is a pic of it

Man that truck was fun!! 44 inch tires and it had the stock 4 clyinder!!! We had to change the motor in it once and had to let all the air out of the front tires to get the cherry picker to clear. We were the tallest thing out on cruise nights!!! :D

This pic was on sportruck.com from the truckin nats in Pheonix last year, I went down there with him.
He also won best of show last year at the Rocky Mtn Truck fest which is the big truck show here every year at Bandimere speedway. This year some lady with sport truck/truckin took a ton of pics of it for a feature but the only thing I have seen was a little pic in Truckin for the show coverage article. Might have been in one of the 4wheel drive mags though. It has a 4.3 vortec in it, the same motor that is in my SS.

I used to have a 84 nissan 4x4 and it had torsion bars with independent front suspension. Mine was called a kingcab though.

Sure ya can!!! :D It just takes cash, heh heh!!! I almost bought a 79 LUV with a 350 and 40's on it back in the early 90's. It was sweet but the workmanship in the lift and motor weren't the best and I knew I would have been constantly working on it. Dam it looked cool up that high though!! :P
