 Post subject: Need help

I'm wanting to build a wooden bed onto my LUV but the bolt holes from the original bed are...well big. So how do I get past the big @$$ holes for the original bed? Any help apreciated thanks in advance. If anyone has any tips or specs hit me up with them.

You could use smaller bolts with large washers.

i thought about that but tightening the bolts migh cave in the washers.

Weld them up and redrill the size you want

i don't have a welder i've mostly got some hand tools and saws and stuff like that.

well they are still washers but if you can find a home depot type store "quake proofing" foundation bolt washers.The ones I saw were about2and ahalf inches square and1/8 or 3/16 inch thick those might be burly enough

Hey American Rebel.

Here is a suggestion, get some thick gauge steel 1 -2 " square tubing. Cut them about 2" long. On one side drill the big hole and the other side the small hole to you liking. Use them as brackets to mount your bed. That will position your bed an inch or two higher. For strength you my want to extend the front backet to straddlel both mount points.
