I bought one from these guys:

http://www.dashcaps.com/mall/chevrolet.asp

They make the things. The install was harder than they would lead you to believe, at least the way I installed it on my truck. I left my dash in and just cut off what I had to of my existing dashpad in order to slip the cap over it. The problem was that my pad was warped, which made it very difficult to get the thing to sit on there straight, cover everthing, and look decent. I wound up removing most of my existing dash pad, using weights to put on top of the cap, and boards to prise on the cap to keep the cap from slipping out (towards the steering wheel/cab). When I got through with it, it looks much better. I would say they are definitely worth the money if you're looking to improve the looks of your truck.

This is an article mopar did on dash caps. In their article they take the whole dash out, which would be the way to go if you could do it:

The main thing is to take your time trimming your existing dash and make sure the cap sits on your dash pad the way it should before applying the glue stuff they give you. Make a few trial runs, take your time, and you should be okay. Hope this helps.
