use some thin weather stripping (5/32--3/16 outta work fine)

clean out the little mirrors inside and the lens while you can too, it'll make you a little easier to spot.

I've been thinking of figuring out how to make up a batch of these. I've been just using black RTV silicone for years, but I'd love to have new sets on all my trucks. If anyone wants to give me a prod to get this project off the ground just send me a PM to tell me to get my act together. :)

Silicone is a pain to do but seems to work well. Fill the grooves on the housing and let it set up overnight. Once it is set you just put the lense back on. Just be careful to get the stuff in there fairly level and even all around.

I just replaced mine with a 1/4" round foam rubber gasket. comes on a great big roll. Not sure what to call it. It comes in several different diameters too. in fact a couple of different colors as well (I think different mat'l) I will see if I can get a name or number or something...

Thanks guys for your responses. That's why it's sometimes better to have more than one person working on projects. Should have thought of the same solutions you all presented, but oh well, brain fart, just didn't. Wanted to stay original for the truck, but sometimes you just have to make do with what you can. Thanks again, Dan
