The rear seal is fairly easy to get out without cutting it, unlike the windshield. You could probably pull one from a junkyard donor if you are careful. I've never had a need for new one, always just reused what I have in there already.

True xl, except my last one had a slider and the lip is a bit wider so the window isn't tight using that seal. ( I do have one from another truck with flat glass though)

Ah yes, many of the rear sliders probably don't fit the stock flat glass seal, including the factory slider. It sticks out the back of the cab almost an inch. I lucked out and got a slider from a donor with the seal that had come with it. I've also got another willing donor with a factory slider waiting for my current truck, good seal included. (at least from the looks of it)

If you are just working with flat back glass though, you could get a fairly good seal by watching the u-pull yards in your area for a truck to come in. If you find one with broken rear glass they might give you a heck of a deal on the seal alone. Maybe find a rollover truck and there is a shot the seal would live through even if the glass didn't.

Here is another example of a part that a lot of Luv owners need at one time or another that should be reproduced. I'd like to see New bezels and
pins for the door hinges.

When I got my rear window, the yard cut the seal to get it out. They handed me the glass and I asked what about the seal. They're like, ohh, we just cut those out. So I told them that I needed it so they spent a few hours and found one off another truck that fit pretty good in mine. Couldn't tell you what kind, but it's gotta be something real close.

I pulled my windshield, and had no problem with the seal comming out. I did not cut it at all, just pryed up on the corner, slid in a wire, pulled it across the top and down the sides, then pulled the glass. I'm not touching the rear glass, but it sounds like a pain.

Done a front and a few backs and I agree with Tilted. Back is way easier...

According to the description on their web site, they are glue on, can you verify if this is what they are and how they install?

Thanks,

Chad

They fit in the factory retainer. The factory ones I removed had glue in some places.I guess they stated glue on because of the fact that some places around the door(sides) they do need glue.
