That looks really good! I am thinking about doing it too. How hard was it to put the pan on it?

The roll pan will have to be welded in on the top and sides. The fit is real good.

I'm surprised that CanDo Specialties doesn't sell a roll pan for an 81-82 LUV or 81-87 PUP. Do they really make one and just don't have it listed on their website yet?? In the near future I am going to buy a roll pan for my 82 LUV and if the company starts to make them I would be interested to buy one from them. I'll be especially interested if their price beats out other companies.

The first time I saw an ad in mini truckin mag for cando I checked and they didnt have anything for luvs then. Maybe if they hear a demand for the later luv stuff itll happen now that theyve done stuff for the early ones. Send them your requests.

IMO, Keeping with the smooth look you should shave the handles off completely.

you could shave them and still have a functional tailgate....just put latches inside the bed somehow. there was a idea awhile back about useing seatbelt latches. but i dont know if anyone done it.

my father in law has this on his 67 chevy. works pretty good. I just don't particularly like how they look, but if the bed is covered I guess it doesn't make a difference.....

If you ditch the handles how about making the gate open from either the left or right side.....a swing gate.
