As far as I know they're still selling 'em, but I can't afford it myself and I know alot of others can't either so I don't know how many more they'll make.

dash caps by accu-form (just the top 1/3 or so of the dash) can be found at http://www.dashcaps.com as well as other places (google for "accu-form dash") Accu-form doesn't have much of a website themselves ( http://www.accuformplastics.com ) , and dashcaps.com is their major outlet for caps.

so those accuform dash caps.. the ones you say cover only 1/3... do you put those over your existing dash, the part thats all cracked and stuff? or do you take that out and put the new one in... and if its like that, when you put the new one in, does it cover all the dash? like down past the gauges like the stock one...

I've never seen one in person, but from the descriptions I've heard and pictures I've seen its something like this: It only covers over right to the top of the gauges, radio, and glove box. It is not just a mat that sits on top, it does come over the edge some. You cut out any really badly lifted cracked portions of the top of the dash, and slip the cap over it. Once fitted, it can be siliconed in place and the line is not very easy to spot.

From the sounds of the original post, his dash is completely gone, the dash cap wouldnt do him any good. I think they should call those dash toupee's, because if they are all like the one my bro had on his truck. you can really tell there is something covering a bald spot. 8O

For years I had a dashcap on my Luv. As it's name suggest it is only a cap that covers the top half of the dash. It is held down with double sided tape or velco tape. It looks a hell lot better than the crack dash most of us have. I also purchased a dash replacement from dashrestorations.com. I'm in the middle of full restoration and have not installed the dash. This is a full replacement dash that has to be glued in like the original. The product quality is excellent, it fits (dry fit) perfect in my truck. I bought the original black color but could have (should have) purchase a custom color that matches the truck. It is kinda pricey but no one else makes them. I once saw a replacement dash (now discontinued) by Isuzu go for over $800. A pure display of supply and demand.
