Gents, What other, besides stock bumpers and tail lights fit an `1980`
with easy to moderate modifications?
Also, fell free to suggest any other non stock easy upgrades you might have done.

Thank you all ideas are welcome

P.s. My son want an Ol'skool type low and slow car

I'm going to get a pipe bumper from a wrecking yard. If it't not on a
Luv I'll have the bumper brackets made up. Not too sure on the tail lights.
I know a lot of parts can be taken off Isuzu troopers and will work with a
Luv.

I think I remember the Astro van lights and they were going into a 73 or 74 LUV that has the taillights under the tailgate. So I guess it does depend on what year of truck you are working on. 74 and older have square lights under the gate, 72s have round lights under the gate, 75 and up have the squarish lights on either side of the gate.

I like the fact the square lights will come apart. That way you can replce just one instead of the whole thing.

well my luv has a 78 silverado bed narrowed with teardrop taillights and no roll pan or bumper as of yet, but a roll pan is in the very near future. my truck is a complete one off so i really couldnt help you on taillight swap ideas, but the astro idea sounds like it would look good.

The AStro Van Tail light fit ALMOST perfectly into the 1980 LUV taillight holes.
There is about 1" difference in the hieght of the Astro light.
Resulting in the need for the addition of a strip of metal to fill in trhe space.
Also you need to weld a vertical strip for the stock light screw holes
They fit pretty well, and look great.
Got a set from the junk yard "with male/female plugs and a little extra wire)
for $40.00.

led's are the way to go i think. they last much longer and are much brighter than reg. bulbs. if u were to do the astro thing they make a kit that puts leds in the old cover. looks old but it is bright. if you had a roll pan you could put any shape lights into the roll pan. i thought of doing little chevy logos in the pan w/ led's
