hey i was just wondering does n e body know how thick the sheet metal on the hood is. i don't feel like going out side and measuring it right now. i am making a cowl for it. but instead of starting from scratch i took one of my spare hoods and cut the center of it and raised it and i just need to cover the sides of it. so if no one knows i will just go measure it.

i used 16 guage i believe thats what it is i just got done makin my hood scoop thats what i used no pics yet soon will get some

I was using 16 gauge to weld shut the side marker light holes and for the life of me, couldnt stop blowing through it. I switched to 18 and havent had a problem.

sounds like i will probably use 16 gauge. i am gonna try to finish it this weekend and get some pics of it on here. thanx
