I just ordered one of these last night. Cost me $97.

Anyone who's installed one of these lifts on their truck, can you let me know what they had to do to get it in?

Tools needed, manpower, instructions, does it come with everything you need? Like bumper relocating stuff and gear shifter extenders that my boss said I would need? Thanks alot.

I don't know about the kit coming with bumper brackets but it damn well should. I think I spent about an hour making mine out of 1/4 plate steel with just a torch, vice, drill, and hammer. With full production tools they could crank out bumper brackets quicker than probably any other part of the kit. I was thinking about reworking mine though to go across the bottom of the front crossmember though. Seems like 4x4s even with no suspension lift like to break the thin chunk of crossmember that the sway bar mounts to. It would also make for a very strong mounting place for recovery hooks or perhaps a winch bumper.

Rear bumpers are a bit trickier, I cheated by just not having one. It would not take too much work to just relocate the bumper from mounting to the bottom of the frame to the top though. This would get 2 inches right off and a 1 inch spacer for 3 inch lifts wouldn't be that much harder to add if it that inch even mattered enough.

Well, since I got mine for $93/shipping included I'm gonna say I still got a pretty good deal. Of course, three days after I ordered it they tell me it's back-ordered so I'm gonna have to wait. Then my truck breaks down, so I don't have the money or the lift kit.

I'm 'bout half way done with putting my lift on, and so far it hasn't too much trouble, besides getting my steering colum out, that was a pain in the rear. but other than that not too many problems. there are a couple of things that you will need:

floor jack- very helpful, better and a lot faster than using just a bottle jack

full set of metric sockets- you will need to have both regular and deep socket types, the ones your gonna use the most are the 14mm, 17mm, and for the lift's new bolts 19mm

open end/ box end wrenches- same thing with the sockets, your gonna need a full metric set for getting things undone like the steering shaft bolts, and the radiator monting bolts

hammer- this is come in handy for getting the old bolts out, use an old bolt about 6" long to help get the old mounting bolts out.

4"x4" blocks of wood- these are very helpful as spacers between the frame and body when putting in the graphite spacer blocks

Thats about all i can think of right now, i'll give you an update when i finish the rest of the lift, which should be by monday.
oh and you will also need a hole saw or a air driven grinder to make a new hole in the fire wall for the steering colum.
by the way i'm in the same boat as you are, my truck's card is still dead while i'm waiting for parts, but i went ahead and started putting the lift on even though my truck doesn't run

Glad to hear that, yeah, I've put in some new seats and a new driver side window that I incidently broke when it broke down. Since I can't fix it right now, but I can't sleep while it's down I do what I can. I have a body lift ordered, 7-10 days they said. Then they call and says it's on back-order and god only knows how long it's gonna take to get it.

I just found out something that is a bother  , the lift kit does not have the right size bolts for the front fender mounts, i repeat they are NOT the right length. the 1's supplied in the kit are 7 1/2" long but that is too freakin' short , to remedy this problem you will need to go to a hardware store and pick up some bolts that are 8 1/2" or 9" long, and make sure you get grade 5 or 8 bolts, if you don't the bolts will break when you least expect it and it won't be pretty considering they hold down the whole front end of the truck :!:

on the lighter side though, to make the hole in the fire wall i found that a 1 1/4" punch out die works perfectly, all you have to do is drill a hole large enough for the bolt, slap the two halfs of the die and start cranking down on the bolt, in about a minute and a half you'll have your self a perfectly sized hole for the steering colum

Srry 'bout the delay, my truck has been done for 'bout 2 weeks now, save for the front fender bolts, little lazy on getting to the store and finding some. the rear end is about a 1000 times easier than the front end, i say this because i was done with the back in 3 hours, and i haven't finished the front end yet  , oh and another thing the front bumper relocation brackes, the bolt hole are too small, you will need to drill them out a little so that the bolts will fit, and use the brackets that have the bolt holes that are lined up, the one's with the little cut out are for a later model isuzu pup, meaning they are useless. another thing out of the brackets in the kit for various things the only one you really need is the steering colum spacer/flange thingy, all the others you don't need because they are for the later model isuzu pup as well :? AND another thing with the bed the kit supplies 3 lift blocks for the rear end/ and two metal rectangles w/ bolt holes, the problem is there are 4 mounting points that require bolts per side, which means that one set of mounting points is going to be left with out a lift block or bolt, i'm going to be working on this as soon as i can, but it's a little difficult when i'm in school and my truck is 400 miles at home

Just an update but does any one know how hard it is to find 7/16" bolts that are 10" long and ether grade 5 or 8? so far i haven't been able to find any, looks like i may have to order them :x meaning my truck will be out of comission for yet another week until i can get home to fix it, oh and a correction home is 250 miles away not 400.

NOTE: Installation requires 2 people and approx. 1/2 day. Product SKU numbers ending in "F" are shipped separately from the factory.

Just a little note RMS: you don't need 2 ppl to put the lift on, i did mine by my self, it would help a LOT though, so i advise any 1 else thinking about doing this lift, HAVE A FRIEND HELP!!!!!!!, it will make things run a lot smoother and you'll be done faster too!
