Hello everyone, I have a black 79 LUV with the crappiest stock rims you have ever seen, I just dropped about 2,000 into the paint job and being only 17 with a part time job, blew most of my money. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where to find affordable rims or had any ideas on getting them painted or powdercoated. Any help would be appreciated.

Try your local junkyard? My local place has a wheel dept with all sorts of stuff off late model vehicle, cheap, real cheap. There are a number of small Toyota trucks that came with stock alloy wheels?

Thanks, anyone got any pictures of a black LUV with black rims, painted or metal. Someone said that I should do that but I have never seen a LUV with black rims and I dont know if that would look alright. Any ideas?

I just stripped the old crappy paint off my rims then usind a rattle can and a steady hand, painted them black (primered them first of course). They turned out great. Then used those cheap chrome hub caps from schucks. $500 look for $20......to bad my truck now looks worse than the rims

take a look at my truck.. my car domain site is below. those wheels cost me $31 each, and thats chump change compared to others. its worth it buying new... im 15 years old. (by the way, american racing wagon wheels, or allied white spoke, theyre about the same price.)

hell no i painted it with a spray gun. i don't know why but all the pictures i took that day came out like shit camera wasn't worth crap. it actually looked pretty good in person. looked even better after i got the clear coat on it.

looks like the 2000 paintjob will be put off for a long time. i'm going to be doing a complete rebuild on my truck. it probably won't see outside the garage until january
