Post subject: what it an apron???
PostPosted: Thu Jul 01, 2004 9:05 pm
I found a website that sells what they call an apron. I think it is the front body piece that goes underneath the gille and headlights. If an apron is not the piece i described let me know. Thanks.

I believe an apron is the piece that goes under the bumper aka "front spoiler".

Is the valance piece metal? Some sites call it an apron/valance. Is teh apron Metal?

I need the metal piece that fits in between the two front fenders and goes right underneath teh grille and headlights. Is the valance and apron the same thing?

the valence is the small piece of sheet metal thats right below the front bumper and headlights.

The valance is the piece that goes under the grill to cover the gap behind the front bumper..... I have always known the apron as the piece that goes under the bumper (on the bottom)aka front spoiler, aka front wind dam, aka front lip, aka yeah.......

wicked is right but backwards... the front air dam, or spoiler, is the valance.... and the other part is normally reffered to as the apron. the apron is just a sill plate that covers the opening above the bumper.

Yep, I agree with Grraystorm. The apron is the piece between the bumper and grille.
Mine got beat up when I rear ended a car at a stoplight. Thought I was stopped talking to my buddy but the truck was just slightly rolling. Hit her at about 1mph. Well I needed a new bumper anyway! Luckily you could still get them back then!
