I just lowerd the front end of my 79' luv 24.75 inches from floor to the fender lip. it is sitting on the bump stops, my question is, is it ok to sit on them or should they be removed :?:

Oh sorry, I misread it.... I thought you said you lowered it 24.35"..... I was fixin to say, you turnin a monster into a mini....... The only problem I can see with it resting on the bump stop is that it wont have the travel it needs to ride smooth..... I lowered mine quite a bit, removed the "stock" bump stops which were HUGE, and put in some small ones out of my wrecked Jetta.... The ones that were in mine were like 4" tall, and I put some in that were 1/2" tall....

My truck sits on the bumpstops (trimmed in half) as the wheels I have on the front stick out a hair (15x7) and this way my tires wont hit the fenders. It rides like a tank but hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

its more or less just bad on your back really, thats it. trim the bump stops some and see how it rides. from there if it still hits the bump stops, bag it!

when i lowered my front it was sittin on the bumpstops, took em off and dropped way more, had to raise it back up unfortunatley  even the way it sits now it still rubs on the inner lip of the fenderwell. gonna have to fit that lip on the new fenders before they get put on casue i dont want it rubbin on teh new paint.
