copy and paste the URL from the pics.........dude, it looks like someone just grabed the middle of your dash and pulled. duct tape and super glue should do the trick....j/k.

A dash cap I think would be in order. They are available on e-bay, jc whitney I think Accuform makes them.

On a second look, your vent louvers are gone. might be tough finding that piece in good shape. Definitely a dash cap though.

put in an aftermarket aluminum dash then you can put what ever gauges where you want. i plan to do that once budget permits. aftermarket 100.00 i think the repo factory ones are something like 450.

I am going a more original look. But thanks for the idea. Any ideas on what to do to make it look original?

try a junkyard; no sarcasm, sorry.

Or try lil blue; he does all kinds of partin out and what not.

Or try me. I have access to an 1980, I think the dash is well. See my other post.

Also, you could try using TuffStuff; I've done similar with it. Get the high density, spray it in (just a little less than you need) sand it down after fully cured, and then re-uhposlter the dash with leather (or pleather) with some 3m spray adhesive and well hidden staples/screws/other (sew the pieces together, of course). It's not perfect, but it can be cheaper and easier, if you plan things out right.

don't forget to put down some wax paper or something, to stop the TS from going into the guts of the dash. Use duct tape or similar to tape the paper to the undersid of the existing dash, or it could squeeze past it (into the guts). Good Luck!

Thanks for recommending me, :D 8) but the dashes i have here are in no better shape than his. i do plan to restore them myself but this will be an indoor project for this winter so it will be awhile before i have any ready to go. best bet right now is a dash cap, ive seen to on ebay recently for around $50.00 which is not bad actually. 8)
