Some poeple are doin bags from what I hear. I think people have gotten away from hydros because of the maintanance issues. Charging batteries and leaking fluid. At least when an air line leaks you dont have to mop up oil out of your bed.

back in the day when hydros were big in the mini truckin sceen, I'd go to shows almost every weekend and one truck out of the shows would end up on fire. We all carried fire extingusers, just for this reason. Hell one of the guys in the club I was in had his truck catch fire while he was playin at a show......to much of a pain in the asssss...this is why guys made the switch...along with the constant leaking and repair of the lines, pumps.

they may have improved hydro design and power requirements which would eliminate all of the above issues, but I personally dont want to run the risk, I like my truck too much.

ive thought of that before, but i was wanting them for articulation on the trail(ie, being able to move each tire individually to maintain tire contact with the ground). however the problem is w/ them is that they have no "free float", so they do not really cushion the ride down the street. my father is a forklift mechanic, and he advised me not to.
there is a way to get around all the batteries, ect. that is to put a pump that drives off a pulley on the engine, what most forklifts do. this will create alot of pressure also.

might want to look into fox air shox...they're designed to carry the full load unlike typical air shocks.

then again, you'd need some kind of link suspension to get much use out of them

I just checked those air shocks out. They seem to be made for motorcycles. They didnt list any part #s for cars/trucks. Only bikes.

it's in the "off-road" section. you'd probably need to do some fab work to make everything work right, but it would definitely be cool
