I'm going to install a 2'' lift on my 75 chevy luv and I don't want to cut the fire wall for the steering column, I was thinking of using the u joints, like they have on the trooper but don't know where to get them to do this. I would need two of them because I need to cut the steering column shaft at one end and use the one from the trooper at the other end. Has any one else done this? Maybe some one has a sketch or diagram of it? Or maybe a better idea on how to go about doing this so I don't have to cut the fire wall to drop the steering column two inches like the lift kit instructions suggest I do. Also my truck has an 80 4x4 chevy Luv frame under it, and I need better ideas on the floor shifters so they don't hit the floor boards. Thanks in advance. Matt

my 80 luv has a 2" lift and the firewall is cut, but you can't tell unless you look real close. it also has a spacer under the dash for the steering column, but the column fits right up against the dash. you can't notice unless you look under the dash.
