 Post subject: inner fender wells

are they removable in the front of a 75 luv? i was wanting to get rid of them. do they serve a purpose for it to be strong up front

They are welded in. If you are going to drive in bad weather, you might want to keep them in. They keep dirt and water out of the engine compartment. They do add a lot of strenght to the front end, but I have seen several luvs that were cut out. Depends on what you like. :lol: If you cut them out, you could always put bracing in there to strenghten it back up. :lol:

ive got a pic of a gemini, he has cut the inner fender walls and replaced it with two pieces of steel tubing, (one either side) and it dont look half bad, mind you this was a show car, one trip in the rain and he'd have one dirty engine bay :!:
