I was driving down the street a few weeks ago, nothing out of the ordinary, and suddenly everything electrical died completely. No horn, no signals, no lights, nothing. I got out and scientifically jiggled the battery cables around a bit and heard the hazards flashing. The truck then started up as normal and I was able to drive away. However, the radio, fuel gauge, A/C and wipers no longer work. I checked the fuses, and checked for a loose connection. Next step is to pull the battery cables and check for corrosion or a short, but was looking for any other theories as to what may be the problem. The engine still runs and I can drive around with no issues whatsoever.

It's a 1978 with a sbc 350.

Thoughts?

Check all grounds for corrosion, and the fuse block and fuses. They like to corrode and not work.
