My Be Cool standard electric fan is running rough. It's been sitting for at least 6 years. I just tested it and it sounds dry as hell. Do these basic fans have lube points? If I need to remove the thing, I'll most likely replace it. It's a secondary fan that only comes on thru a temp switch. It's a major task to mess with the way I got a fan/shroud plus the electric pusher.

My spal pusher doesn’t have any noticeable lube points.

I’m running the same mechanical with switched pusher configuration as you. I need to build a shroud one day.

I'll notice the e-fan running on occasion but the real benefit is after shutdown. The temp buildup from a 400sbc seems drastic but the e-fan kicks on and the temp will drop. The motor restarts a lot easier. My shroud is a 2-piece nightmare of cheap, aluminum L-angle and lexan from Home Depot. It was supposed to be a prototype for an all aluminum shroud but it works pretty good. If it fails in the future, I got a good pattern to build from.
