Post subject: LUV & S-10 BED?
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2003 9:44 pm
Has anyone put an s-10 bed on their luv? It's the same measeurments and all if i meseured right but i was wonder what it looks like. My bed is dented to all get out and it cant have tail lights in the original spots so i figured i'd put an s-10 bed on till i have to fabricate a flat bed. It's an 80's s-10 bed.
Thanks Derrik

May work. You might have to do some adjustments on the frame, but I would go look at the mount points on the S-10 bed first, then measure the distances and then re-visit the LUV and see if they match and what you have to do to make them fit.

This has me thinkng. What about taking one of those sport side beds and cutting the wheel wells out of it and a luv bed and swapping the luv wheel wells to the s-10 box so they match the front. The way the box sides are set in on those, maybe the top bodyline difference wouldnt be so noticeable. Just a thought.

What about a bed from an 80's Isuzu P'UP or Yota if it's only temporary?

I don't think that would work cause they are two different models, you can try if it bolts align up, but I don't think they will.

Gotta line up better than the S-10 bed.

Hey thanks for the input and yes i was thinking that it would look pretty ugly. But luckly today i found a junk yard with 4 complete luvs in it that is what i could see from the opposite side of the fence wo knows there could be more. So i am going to go check that out next weekend.
Thanks Derrik
