So i'm installing bucket seats and 4 point harnesses in the luv. Curious what people have done as far as mounting a bar for them. Any pictures or ideas on how to go about them would be appreciated.

From what I remember your suppose to have cross support bar behind seat for the shoulder straps to go over. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I was just thinking about simple 4 point behind seats. With harness going over it. I'll see if I can find a photo.

Here is what I did. I have a single mount in the floor board with a big thick washer on the backside so it will not pull thru if there is ever an impact.

I was under the impression you get a harness and a cage never just 1 or the other

If you're doing just for show, then go ahead and go over and down to the floor. If you get hit or roll over, you might end up with some broken bones or worse. When bolted to the floor you can still bend at the waist you and the seat will move under the shoulder belts. This is one reason they are not legal on the street in most states as DOT approved. The factory shoulder belts control your motion forward and people have been known to slip out.
For high speed, racing safety. Should go thru the floor and attach to the frame. Use a grommet. The correct way to mount shoulder harness is to the middle cross bar. You can have roll bar hoop with a diagonal bar from right floor to drivers top. Then run the shoulder mounts to the cross bar. Cross the belts behind the driver before the cross bar to keep them from coming off your shoulders. The top of the seat is also bolted to the cross bar. This prevents you from going forward in an accident and keep you safe. A walk away accident. For street and strip I'd also make a couple of attachments point to the top of the B pillar.
