On my 80 Luv 4x4 I have one of the rubber hood rests (not sure if they are called something else) missing.
Just wondering what other Luv owners have down to replace them? Maybe take some JB Weld and form the same shape?

Good find. They are cheap too. They have some parts called "rubber bumpers". I might just order a few to experiment what will work with Luv. :D

Hey Guys,

I am looking into a possible lead on aftermarket part for this. I've been asked if I have an OEM part number for the rubber hood bumpers.
Maybe one of the following people have this info: oldestisuzuist, Luvrv8, Tilted

If anyone has that number, please reply. Thanks! 8)

Don't have a part number, but those are universal Japanese parts. I have the same ones on my 89 Camry, same size, same shape, but the Camry ones have a Phillips head "screw" in the middle of the rubber to hold it on,while the Luv parts are solid rubber...

That's good to know they use the same or similar parts on other cars.

I'm dealing with a person/company on ebay that does makes up new parts or replicas for a variety of cars and trucks. A couple of guys on this forum actually have a parts manual from dealership with OEM numbers.

Just to clarify. The rest is just the rubber top part. Then Assembly would be the rest and the metal screw (where the rest is on top of that)?

Thanks! I'll update this thread when I find more about the aftermarket part. 8)
