I've heard that Luvs have a lot of rust problems. I live in a humid environment, so I'm wondering if there is any way to prevent rust. Are Luvs even good investments because of this problem?

any and all vehicles will rust if they are not cared for. LUV's were made
with some pretty thin sheet metal, which left to the elements, would decompose
pretty quick. If you can start out with a truck from the desert that is rust free,
you can keep it that way for a long time with paint, wax and undercoating. If you
find one you like, that has rust,it can most times be repaired or replaced. If it's surface
rust,if it's properly prepped,POR 15 makes rust inhibiting paint that works good.Don't
let rust be the sole criteria as to weather you get a LUV or not.My last 69 Chevy pickup
was more air than metal and I still made money on it.lol
