I'm currently looking into wheels and tires for my 72. I'm curious as to what fits under the front. If you could post wheel specs: diameter, width, back spacing ,offset and tire size I would appreciate hearing from you.

Not all of us can remember our back spacing and tire size on trucks we built 7 years ago.

I was only trying to get as much info as possible. I guess if you cant remember back space measurements how about a diameter and width and maybe a tire size? I'm trying to go from a 14 inch wheel to 15 inch wheel. I am still on the fence about re drilling my hubs to 5 lug, I found a 6 lug wheel I can live with as far as looks go that I can match to my 5 lug rear if I don't have a local guy make a set of custom spindles for me. The wheels I am considering at this point in 6 lug are 15X8 and that is the narrowest I can find them. My concern is that a 8 inch wide wheel is either going to be too wide and cause some kind of interference or if the backspacing isn't right stick out past the fender.

Its been a long time since I have seen another LUV truck let alone owned one. I can't remember what I did for wheels and tires on my last one but if I did I wouldn't be here asking stupid questions.

I have changed wheels several times since I got my 72. Right now I have 15x8 with 195.65.15 tires on the front and 15x10/ 245.60.15 tires. With 15" 6 lug wheels there are only so many options. Watch craigslist and they pop up all the time. The ideal set up in my opinion would be 15x7 front and 15x8 rear for a street Luv.

gotta love when your phone fixes mistakes you didn't make

pop under your wheel well and take some measurements at full turn and see how much clearance you have, and measure your backspacing, probably cant compress your suspension enough to get a measurement at the bottom of the stroke. I have a 4x4 so I cant help with measurements on your truck but im looking at getting new wheels and tires pretty soon as well

My Luv is on Isuzu trooper rims. They are 15x8 and they fit pretty well. We had to trim the fenders just a touch so they wouldn't rub, but it was only like a half inch. The only reason I hesitated to say something is because I have a 4x4. I'm looking at putting 225/70/15 tires on it for the summer and I have studded 205/75/15 for winter. :D

Oh and they're still 6 lug.
